Genders of nouns.

In Russian there are 3 grammatical  genders of nouns – Masculine, Feminine and Neuter. The gender of noun can be identified by the last letter.

Most Masculine nouns end in a consonant: дом, Андрей, Роман. (он)

Most Feminine nouns end in –a, -я : мама, Рита, Нина. (она)

Мost Neuter nouns end in –o, -е: окно. (оно)
